"Quiksilver" - Logo Redesign & Style Guide

Tools: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop

Concept: In redesigning the Quiksilver logo, my aim was to retain the outline of the surfboard and incorporate an edgy and vintage tiki vibe in the text. The brand redesign focuses on minimalism in its use of colors, photography, and format, with the overarching goal of maintaining the essence of the Quiksilver brand as an enjoyable experience.

"Noodle World" - Logo Redesign & Branding*

Tools: Adobe Illustrator

Concept: I redesigned the logo of one of my favorite childhood dining spots. Along with that, I also created a branding treatment for their business. My aim was to give the restaurant a modern and sophisticated look through a minimal design. The red and yellow color scheme was intentionally chosen to trigger a hunger response in viewers. To highlight the brand's specialty, which is noodles, I made sure to feature them in the design. I used wavy lines to create the noodles and add variety to the composition's linework. Finally, I used a circular shape to bring all the elements together and give a sense of completion to the design.

"Shark Diving as a Conservation Strategy" - Magazine Layout*

Tools: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator

Concept: I wanted to showcase the captivating world of sharks and their underwater habitat in my work. To draw in viewers, I included a full-page photo that captures the same fascination I have for these creatures. Part of the article's title, "Shark Diving," is strategically placed to bring attention to the importance of the subject matter, with the sun's reflection from above the water's surface adding a beautiful touch. To emphasize the professionalism of the piece, I used a serif font type. The imagery on the second page complements the article's storyline, featuring an outline of a shark that frames the island shoreline of French Polynesia. The article mentions how shark diving has helped the island's economy thrive through tourism. The use of this unique shape adds variety to the page and enhances its visual appeal.

"Boysenberry Festival" - Event Poster

Tool: Adobe Illustrator

Concept: The Knott's Berry Farm logo has been redesigned to have a more playful look with a thick, sans-serif font. The letters now feature open-mouth smile shapes in certain areas, and the boysenberry is also included in the design. The goal is to make it easier for viewers to imagine themselves enjoying the festival, particularly by indulging in some delicious boysenberry pie. The border pattern at the top of the logo and the music note also incorporates hints of the boysenberry.
