J. Ngabo, Starving Artist: Director & Cinematographer

People in any profession have to start somewhere and this includes filmmakers as well. While some were luckily born into a family already handling a business in film, others took classes and studied the how-tos through school.

My friend, Joseph Ngabo, a graduating senior in Communication Studies and minor in Film, has a passion for directing and creating the cinematography for music videos. Joseph's fascination with cameras began at a young age when his father brought home a VHS camera. He explained that he loves the idea of controlling the camera and being able to view what he's recorded.

I asked him, why the music video industry though? He explained how it creates an even more fun challenge in producing something with a quick turnaround process, engaging the audience in a brief amount of time, and having to be more creativity.
